16. Safety Not Guaranteed
There’s a reason that Aubrey Plaza is one of the most promising young actresses in recent memory, who’s already proven herself to be extremely talented on the big and small screen, and the trailer for Safety Not Guaranteed is strong evidence for it.
The back-and-forth between Plaza and Duplass in the grocery store scene below (from the 0:40 mark) is simply perfect, made even better by Plaza’s placement of the can.
And just like Rust and Bone, the song at the end (Ryan Miller’s Big Machine) works incredibly well when Duplass says, “You come to that launch site, you take my hand, and I’ll show you who can’t time travel.” Amazing.
