6. Magneto
Had X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men: The Last Stand (which led to Fox doing a reboot of sorts with the 1960s set X-Men: First Class) not been such critical flops, we were apparently in store for an X-Men Origins: Magneto movie as well.
Many elements of the script for that movie were incorporated into Matthew Vaughn’s movie, but just because we know what happened during his early years doesn’t mean that there still aren’t plenty of other great stories they could tell with the Master of Magnetism. Though a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants could be of interest, having Michael Fassbender take on a leading role in a solo Magneto movie would arguably be even better.
Regardless of whether we explore more of his early years or some sort of adventure like the ones we’ve seen in his own comic books over the years, there’s definitely the potential for greatness here. The movie could even focus on him assembling the Brotherhood before a sequel tells the kind of story we’ve detailed in the point above.
