1. X-Men/Fantastic Four

X-Men FF

Though plans for an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover were alluded to not too long ago, X-Men: Days of Future Past writer and producer Simon Kinberg (who also penned Josh Trank’s reboot of The Fantastic Four) recently stated that it simply couldn’t happen because having a superpowered foursome living in New York and loved by the public wouldn’t make much sense when mutants are universally hated.

It’s a fair point, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t happen. The Fantastic Four often travel between alternate universes, and if Marvel’s First Family are introduced in the present, who’s to say that the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past haven’t led to the X-Men becoming more accepted down the line? Either way, there’s the potential here for something epic, and if Marvel are indeed planning on bringing The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy together in the near future, Fox could actually beat them to the punch with an even more iconic team-up of two sets of Marvel’s most recognisable superhero teams!
