17. Storm
Storm is really only one of a handful of X-Men with an interesting enough origin story to justify a movie, and if an actress like Lupita Nyong’o were to take the role (a younger version of the character is rumoured to appear in X-Men: Apocalypse), then we could be in store for something very special indeed.
Ororo’s powers led to her being worshipped as a goddess in her home country of Africa, though she spent the majority of her early years as a street thief after being orphaned as a child. There’s plenty of room for this to be fleshed out and plenty of other stories they could turn to for inspiration. Marvel seem reluctant to move ahead with Black Panther, so Fox would be smart to beat them to the punch with their own superhero movie set in this beautiful country.
