19. Mystique
The popularity of Jennifer Lawrence thanks to her role in The Hunger Games series of movies and impressive performances in the likes of American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook led to Mystique having a much larger role in X-Men: Days of Future Past. It also resulted in talks of a solo movie for the character coming up, and while the necessity of that is debatable, the potential for success is huge.
That alone could mean it’s worth making in Fox’s eyes, but the right team behind the camera could actually help to deliver an unexpected hit. There are several solo Mystique series’ they could turn to for inspiration, but pairing her up with another recognisable character might be the way to go for this one as spending two hours with this character alone might not work.
