3. Old Man Logan
Old Man Logan is an incredible story arc by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven which took place in the near future after the fall of the superheroes. When Earth’s villains decided to all team-up, it didn’t take long for them to lose the war, and Wolverine was tricked by Spider-Man villain Mysterio into slaughtering his own teammates in the X-Men.
After attempting suicide, he goes into hiding and starts a family. However, years later, Hawkeye seeks him out and a battle against the Red Skull and a family of inbred Hulks kicks off in a truly epic story. As you may have realised, the problem here is that Fox don’t hold the rights to those characters, and cameos from Spider-Woman, Thor, Captain America and more mean that the version of this story we get would have to be changed greatly.
That would be a major disappointment, but there’s still the potential for a great story to be told based on this comic book.
