13. Cyclops

Cyclops

Cyclops has never really received the big screen treatment he deserves, though with a younger actor expected to take on the role in the 1980s set X-Men: Apocalypse, Bryan Singer has a chance to make things right.

In recent comic books, Cyclops has formed his own team of Uncanny X-Men (with the other faction led by Wolverine in the newly opened Jean Grey School for Higher Learning) to protect mutants in a far more proactive fashion. As a result, Scott Summers has become the face of the mutant revolution and is seen as a leader and revolutionary by some, and a terrorist by others.

This would be a fascinating aspect of the character to explore, though there are plenty more singular stories they could tell featuring the fan-favourite character. For example, the teenage Cyclops is currently being featured in a series where he’s journeyed into outer space with his Starjammer father.
