When Marvel revealed their plans to move ahead with a movie which heavily featured a raccoon and talking tree, many were quick to claim that they were making a mistake…Guardians of the Galaxy was the highest grossing superhero movies of 2014.

That was without a doubt in part because of these two, and while motion capture wasn’t used here, the performances on set of Sean Gunn and Krystian Godlewski played a big role in the end product being as good as it was.

The voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel helped too of course, as they brought a lot of emotion to their respective characters. Oh, and we can’t forget the adorable baby dancing Groot in the film’s mid-credits scene (his movements were provided by director James Gunn).
