6. Yoda

Yoda

The Star Wars prequels come under fire on a regular basis, and for good reason. One thing George Lucas did get right however was a CGI Yoda. The puppet version we met in The Phantom Menace somehow looked less realistic than the one from The Empire Strikes Back, but the fan-favourite character had been totally transformed by the time Attack of the Clones rolled around.

That would lead to an incredible lighsaber battle with Count Dooku, and later another with Darth Sidious/The Emperor in Revenge of the Sith. Who knew the pint-sized Jedi had it in him, eh? In a trilogy packed with far too much green screen and special effects, Yoda was one CGI creation that fans could all agree was a solid addition to the beloved Star Wars franchise.
