Yes, this another Andy Serkis and Weta creation, but come on…

Before Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the Planet of the Apes franchise had relied on actors in costume. This movie instead opted for photo-realistic CGI apes, with Serkis delivering a performance as Caesar which many were furious to see didn’t score him any sort of mainstream awards attention.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes took things to the next level as we spent more time with Caesar and the other apes, and a number of other actors were drafted in for motion capture performances.
