Hulk

The Hulk from the 2003 movie was a big lime cartoon, and while The (next) Incredible Hulk improved on that, it wasn’t until The Avengers that Joss Whedon perfected the Green Goliath. Utilising motion capture technology, Mark Ruffalo was able to provide the Hulk with a personality.

He also moved even more realistically than ever before, but it was his face which really impressed. For the first time, you could actually see that the Hulk and the actor playing him were one and the same, something which in the past had never been the case.
