2. Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones

HBO spend a tremendous amount of money on Game of Thrones, but as with a lot of TV shows, budget restrictions are obvious now and again.

We don’t know where George R.R. Martin is taking the novels, but you have to imagine that they will end in epic fashion. Forgetting for a second that the TV series is rapidly catching up with them, ending David Benioff and D. B. Weiss’ adaptation on the big screen just seems like the logical choice. It would give the duo a bigger budget to work with and a longer running time in which they can finish off the series in as satisfying a way as possible.

Game of Thrones has a huge fan base which continues to grow each year, so it would be ridiculous to call this a gamble, though it is worth bearing in mind that the only people going to see this would be those who have watched on TV since day one.
