5. Doctor Who
Regardless of whether or not you’re a Doctor Who fan, there’s no denying that it’s a series with a lot of potential both on the small and big screens. Though the quality of the series has improved a great deal over the years, it’s still restricted by a television budget, and a movie could do the franchise wonders.
With a devoted fanbase who made episodes which were simultaneously broadcast in cinemas and on TV a box office hit, there’s no reason why Doctor Who couldn’t find a home on the big screen. The question is though, should they reboot it or should it be some sort of continuation?
As long as it isn’t bogged down by any confusing continuity, the latter option seems like the one which would make the majority happy, while a well-known cast could help Doctor Who reach a wider audience and result in a new movie franchise.
