8. Venom: Separation Anxiety
Venom was a hot property for Marvel in the 90s, leading to a number of limited series’ starring the character. It also led to the creation of several other symbiotes and they featured heavily in this four part story. At this point in his history, Eddie has been separated from the symbiote, and he’s broken out of prison by a group of symbiotes calling themselves the Life Foundation. When he refuses to help them, they hunt him down, with it later being revealed that one of the members – Scream – has killed the other hosts and is actually intent on also taking out Eddie and Carnage. Eventually reunited with Venom, a battle of course ensues. While this story would need to be fleshed out for a big screen adaptation, there’s the potential here (with some of the characters at least) for a good story to be told.
