9. Carnage USA
Spider-Man and The Avengers play a fairly big role in this story, but it wouldn’t necessarily be that difficult for Alex Kutzman to find a way of writing him out and putting the focus solely on Venom. When Carnage – serial killer Cletus Cassidy who bonds with Venom’s offspring – heads to Doverton, Colorado, he takes over the small American town and forces its inhabitants to do his bidding, sometimes even directly controlling them. It’s a frightening story, and Agent Venom (who we’ll tell you more about a little later in this feature) is sent in by the US government to take him down once and for all. The story also features a team consisting of symbiote-enhanced Special Forces soldiers, and if Kutzman is going for a horror movie vibe with a blend of big action sequences, this could be a great place to look for ideas!
