How I Met Your Mother ended on a very disappointing note for fans who had stuck with the series since day one, but “The Mother” (Cristin Milioti) now looks set to make it up to us in a charming new romantic comedy. A to Z chronicles a relationship from beginning to end and many are comparing it to Marc Webb’s (500) Days of Summer, something which is no bad thing if it succeeds as that movie did in terms of tone and characters.
The pilot kicks off by telling us that the relationship between Milioti’s Zelda and Mad Men star Ben Feldman as Andrew lasted for only eight months, making it clear that their story has a clear time frame but doesn’t necessarily have a happy ending. It’s an interesting concept and early reviews have been very positive so far, so this one is well-worth keeping an eye out for this Autumn!
