7. Gotham
Fans have been clamouring for a Batman TV series for years now, and while this isn’t what many expected/wanted, Gotham certainly has an intriguing premise.
Set in the years following the murder of the young Bruce Wayne’s parents, the show will focus on Detective Jim Gordon as he arrives in Gotham City and finds himself coming face to face with early versions of some of the Caped Crusader’s greatest foes. It’s already been said that the series will end with Bruce becoming Batman, but as The Riddler didn’t become The Riddler and The Joker didn’t become The Joker until that happened.
As a result, how they will handle these early iterations of Batman’s rogues gallery will be challenging for the team working on this TV series, but potentially very interesting to see play out. The cast is also shaping up to be very impressive.
