Facing Fratelli-shaped terror and the life changing destruction of their childhood home a group of unlikely companions struggle to survive the insurmountable odds. On their journey they find adventure, long dead pirates, a strange kind of friendship and love. Although it doesn’t always go to plan.
Halfway through their subterranean odyssey the group rest near a waterfall and high school cheerleader Andy beckons her beau Bran to a dark corner for a mid-adventure smooch. Bran is a terse chap and, at that moment, in no mood to answer his girlfriend’s call. He sends his younger brother to investigate and…well, you can guess what happens in the half light of the cave.
It’s a very sweet moment, though in another context vastly inappropriate, and it serves not only as Mikey’s first kiss but also as a sign that maybe growing up isn’t so bad after all…
