3. Electro

?????????????????????????????????

Talking of wasted talent, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 used Academy Award winning actor Jamie Foxx horribly. Though Electro was impressive in terms of how his powers were portrayed, the cheesy lines (“It’s my birthday…time to light the candles!” said Max Dillon as he blew a gasket in Times Square) and a lack of any sort of convincing motivations made him hard to stand.

Where the Foxx we saw in Ray and Django Unchained vanished to in this sequel is baffling and this is a bad guy who will be not so fondly remembered alongside other terrible superhero movie villains such as Mr. Freeze and Doctor Doom! Electro was proof that a lot more than impressive special effects are needed to make a great villain, something this one wasn’t.
