7. Electro’s Origin
As we mentioned earlier in this list, Electro’s origin story is at least partially revealed in the new trailer, although it does in some ways leave us with more questions than answers. In the comic books, Max Dillon’s transformation into Electro is fairly simple. He’s an electrical engineer who gets struck by lightening while repairing a power line and is beaten by Spider-Man and…a fire hose.
His Ultimate counterpart meanwhile (who Jamie Foxx dons a similar costume to in this movie) gained his powers as a product of bioengineering, and it appears as if a combination of these is what creates Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We know from the first movie that OsCorp have been experimenting with lizards and spiders, so the eels we see must be important!
