Again, we’ve already pointed out the possible significance of this particular scene, although it’s worth taking a closer look at here. Since his creation way back in 1964, Electro has been portrayed in a number of ways, with the classic version donning a costume and shooting electric bolts from his hands and various others actually being made up of totally of electricity.

Jamie Foxx’s portrayal of the villain appears to be a mixture of both; he clearly still has a physical form, but it doesn’t appear as if he can revert to his normal human state. Also interesting is the fact that we get to hear his voice, and the fact that it seems to be distorted by his new powers is an interesting choice and one which should help to make this one of the most unique comic book movie baddies yet.
