9. Max Dillon
The first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 didn’t really offer up any details on Jamie Foxx’s Max Dillon, with only a few glimpses of him in action as Electro. Thankfully, this extended sneak peek provides us with some more context on what makes him tick, and it appears as if the unhinged Max will be the most tragic Spidey villain since Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2.
The barely recognisable Django Unchained star clearly becomes obsessed with the titular hero after being saved by him, and after he gains his powers – in Oscorp as the result of some faulty electrics and eels by the looks of it – Max snaps when his hero fails to recognise him. Whether that will be his sole motivation in the movie remains to be seen.
