‘Split’ and ‘Glass’ actress, Anya Taylor-Joy has joined Edgar Wright’s London set psychological thriller ‘Last Night in Soho’.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it is said that Taylor-Joy will be playing the lead in what will be the Cornetto trilogy and ‘Baby Driver’ director’s next project. ‘Don’t Look Now’ and ‘Repulsion’ will have heavily influenced the story.

Wright has previously commented on why he wanted to set his next project in a place he has spent a lot of his time. He also confirmed that a draft was in place for the ‘Baby Driver’ sequel.

“I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead, you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”

A first draft of ‘Baby Driver 2’ exists, it introduces a whole swathe of new characters following the original’s high body-count, and takes the story further

Taylor-Joy made her breakthrough in 2015 in Robert Eggers ‘The Witch’, ever since the young actress has been making a name for herself with M. Knight Shyamalan’s ‘Split’ and this year’s follow-up ‘Glass’.

She has also been seen in ‘Thoroughbreds’ and ‘The Secret of Marrowbone’. Her upcoming projects include ‘The New Mutants’ – if it ever sees the light of day – and will voice Marla in ‘Playmobil: The Movie’.
