The Curzon Mayfair in London played host to a suitably high-stakes evening tonight, as the World Premiere of The Social Reckoning brought Aaron Sorkin’s return to the world of Facebook to the heart of the capital. More than fifteen years on from The Social Network, the Oscar-winner once again takes the helm as both writer and director, this time turning his razor-sharp pen to the whistleblower whose revelations shook Silicon Valley to its foundations. The film stars Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, Jeremy Strong, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen and Bill Burr; it was written and directed by Aaron Sorkin.

Plot:
Inspired by true events, The Social Reckoning is a companion piece to Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network. Frances Haugen (Mikey Madison) is a young Facebook engineer who grows increasingly troubled by the secrets the company guards most closely. Choosing to expose what she knows, she turns to Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz (Jeremy Allen White), and together they set out on a perilous path to bring the truth into the open, sparking a David and Goliath battle against one of the most powerful social media companies in the world.
