3. The Walking Dead

Season four of The Walking Dead redeemed itself early on for the mistakes that the series made with The Governor the previous year, and a run of superb standalone episodes finished things off in style. Of course, it also ended with a pretty huge cliffhanger as Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors found themselves at the mercy of a group who appear to be cannibals.

Based on what we could see in the trailer for season five (which you can check out by clicking here), they will reach some sort of uneasy agreement with them, but as the show is now veering so wildly from the comic books, it’s near impossible to guess where things are going from here. That’s both a good and bad thing in some ways, but there’s no denying that this season could be the most exciting yet…
