5. The Blacklist

The Blacklist is one of the few dramas which debuted last year that is set to return for a second season, though that doesn’t really come as too much of a surprise after the compelling stories told in that initial run of episodes and the fantastic performances from James Spader and Megan Boone.

Frustratingly, the first season didn’t reveal the truth behind the relationship between their characters, so fans are hoping for answers about that early on. A mysterious new threat was also introduced fairly late in the game during season one, so how “Berlin” factors into things is also particularly intriguing.

The Blacklist finds a nice balance of espionage and action, and is easily one of the best show on TV right now. There’s still time to catch up, so make sure you do before it returns.
