Following on from the first look images from Steve McQueen’s heist movie, Widows, on Friday the first trailer has now arrived.

Based on a script by McQueen and Gone Girl’s Gillian Flynn, the movie is about a group of Chicago women who conspire to settle a debt from their dead husbands’ criminal activities.

The cast list runs like an Oscar nominations rundown with Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, and Cynthia Erivo star as Veronica, Alice, Linda, and Belle, respectively.Liam Neeson stars in his first non-action role since The Commuter as Mr Rawlins, ”Veronica’s husband”, whilst Robert Duvall plays Mr. Mulligan, the father of politician Jack Mulligan who is played by Colin Farrell. Also starring in the film is Daniel Kaluuya, Carrie Coon, Jon Bernthal, and Lukas Haas.
