Apple TV has released the trailer for Season 2 of its feel-good sports comedy series ‘Stick,’ starring Owen Wilson as a washed-up golfer determined to make one last run at glory.
The heartfelt comedy follows Pryce Cahill (Owen Wilson), an over-the-hill former professional golfer whose promising career was derailed 20 years ago. Following the collapse of his marriage and losing his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce puts what remains of his future on a troubled 17-year-old golf prodigy, Santi (Peter Dager).
Season 2 sees Santi take the next step in his pursuit of professional golf, only to discover that the game changes dramatically once talent becomes expectation. As he chases his dream, Pryce begins to question whether there might still be a place for him on the course.
Encouraged by his former rival Clark Ross (Timothy Olyphant), Pryce makes a move nobody expects: he bets on himself.
Determined to become the oldest golfer ever to win a major, Pryce launches an improbable comeback. However, returning to the top proves considerably harder than he imagined. The closer he gets to becoming the golfer he once was, the more he must confront the reasons he never fulfilled the promise everyone once saw in him.
With brilliant new coach Amanda (Rhea Seehorn) and trusted caddie Mitts (Marc Maron) by his side, Pryce sets out to prove himself to the golf world, and perhaps more importantly, to himself.
The second season of ‘Stick’ once again brings together its ensemble cast, including Owen Wilson, Peter Dager, Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant. Season 2 also welcomes Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Rhea Seehorn, alongside John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander and Missi Pyle.
The new season will also feature returning guest appearances from legendary broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, as well as golf enthusiasts Matt Scharff and Dan Rapaport.
