Luca Guadagnino’s name may have catapulted itself onto the lips of audience’s worldwide after his beautiful love story, Call Me By Your Name, hit the big screen. But don’t get too comfortable associating his name with that film as his follow-up, a “homage rather than remake” of Dario Argento’s Suspiria, is due to open our eyes to a dark and twisted side to the filmmaker. If the newly released trailer below is anything to go by, we’ll be watching this behind a pillow.

Inspired by Dario Argento‘s 1977 horror of the same name, Call Me By Your Name’s Luca Guadagnino is directing and has described his version as “cold, evil and really dark”. The Terror and A Bigger Splash screenwriter David Kajganich has penned the remake.

Dakota Johnson plays the role of Susie Bannion, an aspiring dancer who uncovers a sinister secret within her dance company. The film also stars Tilda Swinton, Chloe Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, and Jessica Harper.
