The Sacrament (Dir: Ti West)
Master of the slow burn horror Ti West (The House of The Devil, The Innkeepers) returns with his first venture into the found-footage genre. When a documentary team goes to investigate and expose the Eden Parish cult, things take many turns for the worst.
Always a director you can bank on when it comes to building tension and atmosphere, we expect an eerie and unsettling ride as we learn more about the dark secrets of the cult. A bleak exploration into the corruption and exploitation of faith – particularly apt at this time given the recent death of Westboro Baptist Church founder Fred Phelps.
Expect an uncomfortable trip when The Sacrament comes to town later this year.
