Suicide Squad director David Ayer took to Twitter today to reveal a brand new poster for the DC Comics adaptation, but as fun as that is, Warner Bros.’ plan for “Harley’s Tattoo Parlor” at his year’s SXSW festival is even more unique. That’s right, you can be branded with the logo of your favourite member of Task Force X months before even seeing the movie!

Warner Bros. may already be developing a Suicide Squad sequel

Specific details on where and when these tattoos will be available has yet to be revealed, but tattooing fans is certainly a unique marketing decision by the studio for Suicide Squad.

Here’s the synopsis for the movie (the full set of images can be found in the gallery below).

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis, and Ben Affleck (that’s right, Batman will be making an appearance), Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th, 2016.
