We have had what I would consider an admirable degree of restraint in the marketing for Rise.. so far.

We know it’s coming, we had some nifty on set pics a while back showing Andy Serkis in his performance capture suit and now we’re getting some properly finished trailers that showcase the impressively life-like rendering of the apes. We’re not getting bombarded, deluged or bludgeoned into submission and I appreciate it. Because we care and because we like to be helpful, we have gathered all you need to know about Rise of the Planet of the Apes in one place, right here. You’re welcome.

Today’s addition is a set of rather pleasing on the eye stills from the film, showing the uncannily well-generated apes and Tom Felton trying his best not to look like Draco Malfoy. Do please enjoy them and then comment below – are you interested in this film? Is it grabbing you? Is it’s measured advertising campaign drawing you in, or is it passing you by?

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
