2016 is an election year in America and, never one to miss a trick, the latest series of Netflix’s House of Cards will have its own political punching contest.
The last series of House of Cards did a fine job in tying up a number of loose ends while creating many more thorny frays. Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood is a great television creation; more menacing than the Machiavellian Francis Urquhart as portrayed by Ian Richardson in the BBC series.
One of the joys of the show so far is the prominent role taken by Robin Wright as Claire Underwood. The final moments of the third season underlined her importance to the show’s future and it’ll be very interesting to see what happens next…
The full season will be released on Netflix on the 4th of March. You’ll be there.
