Warner Bros. released a teaser image from Wonder Woman’s solo movie last year, but now the first official still from the highly anticipated DC Comics adaptation has found its way online. Focusing neither on the present day or WWI version of the character, this one instead shows us Diana on her home island of Themyscira alongside her fellow Amazonian warriors.

Pictured below alongside Gal Gadot are Diana’s mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), and her two aunts, General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli). According to the Entertainment Weekly, the trio is responsible for raising her, and “Hippolyta, a revolutionary leader, longs to shelter her beloved daughter from the outside world, but Antiope, the Amazon responsible for Diana’s training, wants to prepare her.”

Apparently, Wonder Woman’s home of Themyscira has been created by shooting on exotic islands off the coasts of Italy and southern China. It’s fair to say that the characters themselves all look very unique, something director Patty Jenkins made a priority.

“To me, they shouldn’t be dressed in armor like men,” Jenkins says of the women’s battle wear. “It should be different. It should be authentic and real—and appealing to women.”

Wonder Woman has been singled out a highlight in the divisive Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so the pressure is definitely on for Jenkins and Warner Bros. to deliver here.
