Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for ‘The Runner,’ an intense new psychological thriller starring Gal Gadot as a high-powered lawyer forced into a desperate race across London to save her kidnapped son.
Premiering globally on Prime Video on 2 September 2026, ‘The Runner’ is directed by Kevin Macdonald is a relentless, edge-of-your-seat thriller set against the backdrop of the UK’s bustling capital.
The newly released trailer introduces audiences to Maia Marten (Gal Gadot), a brilliant corporate attorney who has built her career on staying one step ahead. But during what should have been a routine morning run, her carefully controlled life is torn apart by a chilling phone call informing her that her son has been abducted.
The kidnappers leave Maia with a terrifying set of instructions: keep moving, follow every command without question, and tell no one. If she stops running, her son dies.
Maia is forced to sprint through London’s crowded streets and maze-like Underground network, carrying out increasingly sinister demands while desperately searching for a way to outsmart those orchestrating the nightmare. With every passing second, the stakes escalate, pushing her survival instincts and maternal determination to their absolute limits.
Alongside Gadot, the film also stars Damian Lewis, Rory Wilmot and Alfred Enoch.
