Vin Diesel has revealed that Rapper Cardi B is the latest of names to join the growing cast of ‘Fast & Furious 9’.

A tired-looking Diesel revealed the latest casting via his Instagram account while on set in the UK.

Diesel alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron are reprising their roles in the latest instalment of the franchise. New cast members include John Cena, Finn Cole, Anna Sawai and Ozuna.

Hobbs & Shaw stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will not be returning for the film. Cena is expected to fill the Johnson shaped void. Further details of his character are being kept under wraps.

Justin Lin, who directed ‘Fast & Furious 6,’ returns to direct the ninth instalment with franchise mainstay Diesel starring as Dominic Toretto. Dan Casey wrote the screenplay from a story by Lin and Alfredo Botello.

Latin music’s fastest-rising stars Ozuna is also in talks to join the film’s soundtrack.

The franchise will then continue in 2021 with another untitled sequel, followed by a female-led spin-off which is also currently in development.

The Universal Pictures film is set for release on May 22, 2020.
