It’s a hard job, but someone’s got to do it. With filming of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises now having moved to Los Angeles, a new batch of photographs showing Anne Hathaway in full Catwoman get-up have appeared online and muggins here drew the short straw and has to write about them.
Woe is me.
So, what do these latest pictures show? Well, a lot more than the official photograph that was released back in August, that’s for sure. Seen here as she scampers around between takes Hathaway’s costume appears to have a few more feline inspired details than could be seen in the earlier image and the combination of tight leather, stilettos and mask certainly ensure that this latest look is in keeping with previous incarnations of the character while also adhering to the more realistic tone of Nolan’s Batman films.
We’ll find out next July how Hathaway compares to previous iconic Catwomen Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer and, er, Halle Berry, but on this evidence I’d say the signs are looking good.
