A lot of very interesting details about Alien: Covenant have been revealed lately, including the fact that Michael Fassbender will play multiple androids and Harry Gregson-Williams won’t be returning to score the movie. However, we now have the first teaser poster, and on it, we get our first look at the returning Xenomorphs along with an ominous message.

Not much is known about the movie, but the synopsis reads: “Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”

Prometheus disappointed a lot of Alien fans as it wasn’t really the prequel we were promised, but it appears as if this movie will finally deliver on that by leading up to the events of the original movie. As has been the case for a while now, what that means for Alien 5 is unclear.

The cast of Alien: Covenant also includes Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Noomi Rapace, and Guy Pearce, and as you can see below, it will be released on May 19th. That’s quite a bit sooner than expected as the movie was originally scheduled for next October before being moved forward to August. Now we get it in May!
