Prison Break
Wildly inconsistent Prison Break may have been (truthfully, it was only the first season that sustained any level of quality control), in its best moments it rocketed forward with such monumental force that we barely had time to question the logic of what we were seeing. Even so, who could possibly resist the time-honoured concept of a guy who has to break his brother out of an impossibly guarded prison before his death sentence comes around? It’s a format that’s tailor-made for bite-sized TV viewing although it seriously fell off at the end of its four-season run; nevertheless, Fox have announced that a miniseries continuation of the original storyline will be arriving in 2017.
