United 93

The impact of the events of the 11th of September, 2001 are still being felt all these years later, so it should really come as no surprise that the prospect of a movie so soon after it happened was met with a mixed response.

Many cinemas in America (particularly those in New York itself) pulled the trailer early on, and talks about whether or not the terrorist attack should be dramatised continued until United 93’s eventual release.

However, in the capable hands of Paul Greengrass,the movie would prove to be a respectful and worthy tribute to those who were on this particular flight, and it was ultimately met with an overwhelmingly positive response by the majority. Even so, few others have decided to tackle the same subject since.
