STUDIOCANAL has revealed the brand spanking new red band trailer for ‘Wicked Little Letters’, the razor-sharp British comedy from director Thea Sharrock.

Based on a true story, a 1920s English seaside town bears witness to a farcical and occasionally sinister scandal in this riotous mystery comedy. Based on a stranger-than-fiction true story, the feature follows two neighbours: deeply conservative local Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley). When Edith and her fellow residents begin to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities, foul-mouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar, and a trial ensues. However, as the town’s women – led by Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) – begin to investigate the crime themselves, they suspect something is amiss, and Rose may not be the culprit after all.

Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley star. Supporting cast includes Anjana Vasan (We Are Lady Parts, Killing Eve), BAFTA Nominee Timothy Spall (Mr Turner, Spencer, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 & 2), BAFTA winner Joanna Scanlan (After Love, Notes On A Scandal), Hugh Skinner (Fleabag, W1AMamma Mia), BAFTA winner Malachi Kirby (Small Axe, Anansi Boys), Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones trilogyHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 & 2), Lolly Adefope (Ghosts), Eileen Atkins (The Crown), and Alisha Weir (Matilda!).
