News has been coming over over the past month about new cast members signing on to the rejuvenation of The Scream franchise which was made famous back in the 90s by director, Wes Craven. Courtney Cox – Arquette, Neve Campbell and David Arquette have already signed onto the project with news that Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Lake Bell, Nico Tortorella, are also on board.
Entertainment Weekly are now reporting that a few more can be added to the list in the form of Gilmore Girl star Lauren Graham, Anthony Anderson, and Marielle Jaffes. Anderson has previously played parts in Scream Parody movies, Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4 which was spawned from the Scream franchise. It’ll be rather interesting to see him star in the movie series which started it all! He more recently appeared in Transformers as the light-relief comedy character that he plays in most of his movies. Will he play the same sort of role in Scream 4?
EW go on to tell us that the movie starts shooting in Michigan at the end of this month with a release date of April 2011.
