To celebrate the release of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, the sequel series on Disney+ to the classic comedies, we sat down with some of the new stars to find out about all the goings-on back in the ice.

First released in 1992 with subsequent sequels in 1994 and 1996, The Mighty Ducks has become one of the most cherished series of films of the last few decades so the anticipation for the new series is very high, even more so when it was announced that the original star Emilio Estevez would be returning for the new storyline as Gordon Bombay. The series features a brand new line-up to the Ducks’ roster – as well as a new team – with Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) starring alongside the new cast.

We spoke to Brady Noon (Evan), Maxwell Simkins, and Swayam Bhatia (Sofi) about the new show, how they got their roles, their differing skills on the ice, and more. We also challenged them to a game: how many hockey “slang” words do they really know?
