Quite frankly this image could be for any movie and I was hoping that the first image from Rise of the Apes might give us a look at some form of ‘Ape-like’ being but no, the first image released for the new movie shows us one of the stars from it, James Franco at his computer with a bluetooth headset on. And a rather retro headset at that!
Franco plays scientist Will Rodman and if you look closely at this image (click to enlarge), you can see some rather telling brain scans on the back wall which do indeed show us some sort of primate!
Rise of the Apes also stars Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton and Andy Serkis as one of the apes using motion capture technology meaning the Apes will be CG and no men-in-suits!
From what I can find, the movie hits UK shores 25th November this year.
