IFC Films have debuted the first official poster for dark superhero comedy Super.
Directed by James Gunn, Super stars Rainn Wilson (The Rocker), Ellen Page (Juno), Liv Tyler (The Strangers), Kevin Bacon (The Woodsman), Nathan Fillion (Slither) and Linda Cardellini (Scooby-Doo).
After his wife Sarah (Tyler) hooks up with a smooth-talking drug dealer named Jacques (Bacon), Frank (Wilson) transforms himself into superhero “The Crimson Bolt”. Then with the help of a trusty wrench, Frank wages a one man war on crime. Libby (Page), a local comic book store employee, transforms herself into a superheroine named “Boltie” and becomes Frank’s sidekick. The two then team up to take Jacques down.
Super premiered last year at the 35th Toronto International Film Festival to very enthusiastic reviews, and opens in the US on April 1.
