After the news that Liam Neeson is to retire from the action genre, the trailer for one of his final foray in the arena, The Commuter, has been released.
From the director of The Shallows, Jaume Collet-Serra, the action thriller see’s Neeson doing the same old routine, the same routine he has been doing for the past 10 years. However, this time he is faced with a tough decision after Vera Farmiga crosses his path on his normal commute into work. Faced with bundle cash on offer, he is asked to do one little thing! Something that isn’t given away in the trailer but from the look on his face, it can’t be good.
The Commuter has a cast of Neeson, Sam Neill, Elizabeth McGovern and also see’s The Conjuring’s Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reuniting in the thriller.
The film is set for a January 12th 2018 release in the US.
The Commuter Synopsis
In this action-packed thriller, Liam Neeson plays an insurance salesman, Michael, on his daily commute home, which quickly becomes anything but routine. After being contacted by a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realizes a deadly plan is unfolding and is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy. One that carries life and death stakes for himself and his fellow passengers.
