The young Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm are three of the biggest roles which have yet to be cast in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, and now a new list of names have surfaced following a short list last year.

According to a new report, Taron Edgerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Jamie Blackley (If I Stay), and Tye Sheridan (Mud) are all in the running to play Scott Summers, a character portrayed in the original series by James Marsden. Fans were never satisfied with how he was portrayed, so this is a second chance for Singer.

Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz has apparently passed on the role of Jean Grey, so now two actresses are being considered. Those are Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) and Saoirse Ronan (Hanna), and either of them would be perfect for the role. Ronan has missed out on a number of roles in blockbusters over recent years, including Avengers: Age of Ultron and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Famke Janssen was the original Jean.

Finally, a younger version of Halle Berry’s Storm may end up being played by Alexandra Shipp (Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B) or Zendaya Coleman (K.C Undercover), two fairly little known actresses best known for TV.

Shooting on the X-Men: Days of Future Past sequel should begin soon, so stay tuned to HeyUGuys for updates! To find out what we’re most looking forward to seeing in the movie, be sure to click here.
