For months now, AMC (the American cable network responsible for Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead) have been teasing us for months now, with a number of clips, posters, and featurettes for Better Call Saul. A full-length trailer for the series has finally been released, giving us our first proper look at what’s to come!

If like us you were devastated when Breaking Bad came to an end last year, you’re likely counting down the days until the premiere of spin-off Better Call Saul. Set in 2002 before the shifty lawyer met Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, it picks up with the titular character when he was better known as Jimmy McGill.

During this time, he was a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny and hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside and often against him is “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut, a character first introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into a man who puts the criminal in “criminal lawyer.”

As you might recall, there has been talk of cameos from Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, but it has now been confirmed that neither will appear in the first season of the prequel. A second season has already been announced of course, so there’s always a chance that they will turn up a little further down the line!

It was announced earlier this year that Better Call Saul will have a two hour premiere on February 8th in the US, and it should reach the UK shortly after on Netflix. Joining Bob Odenkirk (who obviously plays Sual in the spin-off) are series regulars Jonathan Banks. Michael McKean, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, and Michael Mando, actors who play characters representing both legitimate and illegitimate sides of the law.
