Die-hard ‘Star Trek’ fans have been waiting patiently for the return of Patrick Stewart as Jean Luc Picard and now they wait no more. Stewart has shared the first teaser for the new series, ‘Star Trek: Picard’.
The new series is set two decades after the events of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation,’ the story will follow the former U.S.S. Enterprise captain in the next phase of his life.
The story will centre on Picard’s love of archaeology with a mission to revolve around some sort of alien artefact that’s been discovered. It will also deal with Picard’s role in having brokered peace with the Romulans and then watching it crumble with the destruction of Romulus due to a stellar event.
The teaser does exactly what it says on the tin, it teases us with a small glimpse of Picard’s life after he left the Star Fleet whilst a narrator speaks before Picard’s face emerges from the dark.
Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Evan Evagora and Michelle Hurd all join Stewart on the cast.
Star Trek: Picard will air in the Autumn on CBS All Access
