To celebrate the release of Shrinking, the new dramedy show coming to Apple TV+, we had the pleasure of chatting with some of its stars and creators to find out more.

“Shrinking,” is a new 10-episode comedy starring Jason Segel, and written by Emmy Award-winning “Ted Lasso” co-creator Bill Lawrence, Emmy Award-winning “Ted Lasso” star, writer, and co-executive producer Brett Goldstein and Segel. Also starring Harrison Ford in one of his first major television roles, the show follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making tumultuous changes to people’s lives, including his own.

Chatting to co-creators Lawrence, Goldstein, and Neil Goldman, we speak about the genesis of the show and how Ted Lasso played a part in its inception, the lure of working with each other, getting Harrison Ford on board for what they consider to be a “perfect role” for him, the show’s mix of humor and pathos and much more. These sentiments were echoed by co-stars Christa Miller and Lukita Maxwell, who describe the show’s brilliance, their relationship with each other, and Segel’s character in the show, and how the show may surprise people when they watch it.
